Growing your own herbs
We all love fresh food, organic food but it’s not always easy to prepare it. Most of the fresh fruits and vegetables that you find in the store, including herbs, are treated with chemicals and additives. You should consider growing your own herbs. And you can do this right in your kitchen!
- The plants will be green all the time. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, the herbs that you have in your own kitchen will always be available. Since there is most likely constant temperature in your kitchen and you can water them every day, your herbs will grow properly. They will be at your fingertips whenever you need them.
- It requires almost no effort. Most of the herbs don’t need special conditions in which to grow. You don’t have to be a gardener or think about ingenious ways to irrigate the pots. Plant the seeds and water them every day; after two weeks or so you will see a small, green plant. After a month, you can use the leaves however you want. Cut off what you need and the plant with keep on growing.
- It will transform your kitchen. There’s nothing like the smell of mint in your kitchen, not to mention fresh parsley. You will not need air freshener again and you can stop using dry herbs for cooking. If you grow lavender, you can use it in anything from sweets to perfumed candles. The possibilities are endless. Living herbs are better than any bouquet and give a fresh appearance to your home.
